The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe

I'm a bit late writing the review for this month's read.

I love this book. I remember reading it for the first time as a young girl and getting completely lost in the magic. The idea of a secret world, unknown creatures, and being destined to greatness beyond your knowledge was very appealing to me.

I think this was one of the first series of books I ever read. I've been hooked ever since.

I hope you enjoy the fantasy of this book and continue with the books that follow.

  1. When I saw this book posted as the book for the month, I was actually very excited. My mom had read it to me when I was 4 or so, and I'd seen the movies made of the book and enjoyed them, but I hadn't actually read the book myself.
I loved it! I really enjoy the writing. Sometimes with books, if I've watched the movie first, its hard to keep me entertained because I feel like I already know what's going to happen. That didn't happen with this book though. I was captured by the story, and the details.
On my the things that really hit me hearing the story this time around was how good of a brother Peter is. He was quick to apologize, quick to defend, and to stand up for his siblings. I like so many things about the book! Its beautiful!
I am hooked, and I hope my kid will feel the same way one day too!
